This page is my way of saying (again! *grin*) "Thank You!!" to those who helped the archive get its new home on the 'net. Without you, it would still be over at geocities and elsewhere, its parts divided, scattered, and at the mercy of the horrible pop-ups and/or banner ads. I never thought that the response to my pleas for aid would be as great as it was. I thought that a couple of people would help out with small amounts, and either I would have to somehow scrape up the rest or be forced to take one of those ad-sponsored sites. But you proved me wrong, a thing that makes me feel wonderful inside. To know that people enjoy my archive that much... A "Thank You" seems like such a little thing in response to your acts, but they are the only words I can grab onto. And so, a big, resounding, Balrog-sized "Thank You" to those who made the new site possible: Dar Dayast joy dragonwyck Notsogaladriel tina Again, my undying gratitude, --SkyFire Melethryn archivist |

The site is prepaid for a good while ahead, so what can you do to help? Plenty! Get the word out about the archive. A bit of good PR never hurts! :o) Submit a link to a LotR slash website. Post a link on *your* slash website. If someone on a list you're on asks about an Elfslash pairing, you can point them here. If you are or know an author of Elfslash, let them know the archive exists and hopefully, they'll consider posting here. Just spread the word. Trust me, every bit counts. :o) While you're out there thinking about spreading word about the archive, consider letting others know about the 'zines I'm putting together. Yes, that is 'zines'- plural. The Elfslash one (still without a name. Argh! Suggestions?) you've probably heard of if you've been to the main page of this site. If not, its submission guidelines are here. The Gen one, named Hall of Fire is for Elf-centered genfic (ie. no sexual content) rated G-R, as well as Tolkien-style poetry. Its submission guidelines are on geocities here. The more people that buy a 'zine, the lower the cost for everyone-- so spreading the word about them *will* help you. My thanks for taking the time to read this. :o) SkyFire |
