1. Celeborn and Galadriel are tired of all the problems between Rivendell and Mirkwood they are forced to referee. Thranduil is desperate enough to let him marry anyone who can carry a child regardless of the status of Legolas's chosen mate, but Legolas MUST marry someone by the end of the year or he will choose a wife for him. Someone mentions that male Galadhrim can carry children.

6. Variation of 5, Elrond and all male children of his line can carry children.

7. Male elfs CAN'T carry children, yet Thranduil has no eye for females. Oropher tries to explain the duties of a future king and at one point says: "I'm sorry son but a male couldn't give you a heir even with the help of one of the Rings!" Thranduil gets an idea.
  a) He seeks out Elrond and asks him to use Vilya to make it possible for him to get pregnant and the two of them wind up testing his new abilities.
   b) He seeks out Gil-Galad, asks him to use Narya and seduces him afterward.
   c) He seeks out Galadriel, asks her to use Nenya and upon leaving her runs into Celeborn. Sparks fly.

I warn you, am in a VERY pervy yet VERY random mood. And for those who simply can't stand to see Haldir-- or any other character -- portrayed in a less noble state, don't read.

Needless to say, be afraid.

I often hear that people portray Haldir as a "slut" or a "whore." I'm in a rebellious mood and even though I have the utmost respect for our dear, dear, dear elven beauty... ::evil grin:: Elves have their fun and we have our fantasies.

Of course, you don't *have* to use Haldir. Any Imladris elf or any lord, shall do nicely. Might prove a bit interesting with one of the twins or perhaps even Thranduil. ::Shrugs casually:: Maybe even Celeborn. 

Here it goes: Ai, our poor, poor Whore of 'Lorien. (::Shrugs:: Whore sounds more ... nice than slut for Haldir.) Haldir has slept with many elves. Very many. Dear Haldir is depressed, for he has no one to warm his bed having decided to give up after being kicked in a none-to-pleasant place and slapped rather often. And also, he quickly tires of the name "Whore" and "Slut." Ai, but he is in a rather ... randy ... mood tonight. ::evil grin:: Looking about his room, he spots the bed and several objects that may prove interesting to toy around with and what not. An uneaten pie. (American Pie... Drove his chevy to the levy...) A pillow. And perhaps even a chess board along with other things. At first he tells himself that even *he* has limits. But ... he *is* rather desperate...

Humping the 'ell out of something he notices not a knock on the door. Or even a whispered call (for the one who seeks him doesn't want to wake the entire forest). So, the caller enters and seeing him at work, finds it all too amusing.

Later on, when all the problems have been sorted out and Haldir is laying on the bed and looking at the ceiling no longer sulking/pouting/being sarcastic/what not (having came to the realization that this elf will not provide him with amusement for the night), he breaks down. Admits he tires of being a slut/whore. The character, that wonderful creature that just entered (Completely your choice as well as Haldir who could easily be someone else... Perhaps Glorfindel. ::Smirks:: Yes, I love Celebrian's fanfic and found this plot bunny too hard to ignore! ^_^; Go sue me. The Whore-like side of Erestor was rather amusing in a sad though nice way...) The other character says kind words of reassurance and *true* love.

Luthien was able to change shape, we don't know how extensively but the Silmarillion implies that she had many forms. Elwing was able to change shape, from elf to seagull and back.

So my challenge is, what if Elrond inherited *part* of Elwing's shape-changing ability?; He is only able to change halfway into the target creature, or only able to shapechange one portion of his anatomy. Or perhaps he gets stuck in shapechanged form.
